News St Marc Haiti
These are some mission massionaries in Haiti who run an oprphanage and their good news from Haiti
Greetings from St. Marc, Haiti!
It was a beautiful morning for such a prayer meeting,
hard to believe that we have come so far. Truly this
must be God! These are the thoughts that past through
my mind as I walked up the front steps of the
Presidential Palace in Port-Au-Prince.
After all that has happened and the many tears and
sweat from the years past, there I was walking up
those grand steps to the very seat of authority in the
nation. This nation called Haiti that God had called
me too through Youth With A Mission. As I followed
Pastor Chavannes Jeune, leading pastor of a new
national movement of God in unity amongst the
Christians, with Pierre Richard (fellow YWAMer) by my
side, I took note of a newly built massive tower
representing former President Aristide's commitment to
serve and sacrifice to the gods of voodou.
As we entered the screen and special security we were
lead to a beautiful large white room trimmed in gold
and red carpet. The sound system was all in place,
thanks to the Palace services. Special security was
monitoring the room as well. We were guarded to pray I
guess.
The prayer meeting began. Pastor Chavannes with his
leading Pastors opened the time. It was a good prayer
time and I sense God's presence with us even though
there was a strong spiritual sense that we were
clearly causing much anger from the former spiritual
strongman associated with voodou.
Mid way into the time came the newly establish
President. He made sure to come and shake all our
hands, not missing one person. As he concluded he
thanked everyone for coming to pray. Pastor Chavannes
with other leaders presented him with a Bible as a
token gift, asking him to please make sure he reads it
everyday. He responded; "Oh, I do read it every
morning, but not just read, I pray too! You do know I
am a Christian."
God has given us every advantage now in Haiti. We, the
Christian leaders now must lead the people in prayers
of humility and repentance to see the full glory of
God released. Please continue to pray for us! I
personally enjoyed taking the opportunity in that
glorious room, with security watching, slipping off my
chair and onto my knees, bowing down with my face to
the ground and my tears touching the floor, before my
GOD! He is the ultimate authority and I gave Him his
rightful place in the Palace.
I must head for the Dominican Republic today. There we
will be attending and sharing in our Youth With A
Mission Caribbean conference. Ingvild and I, along
with the kids are looking forward to this time for
refreshment and healing from the many battles we have
spiritually fought. We would appreciate your prayers
during this time.
We have taken the High Places, now we must disciple
the nation!
