How many of you folks know each other in real life?

How many of you had met before joining TWeb?

I don't know any twebbers in real life...sniff....

Thanks for reminding me how much of a life I don't actually have.

I can only think of two that I know in real life.

Neither of them are active members anymore.

Hmm... No Twebbers- but I know a few infidels from a few meet ups in London I've helped to organise... Been a great laugh each time.

Your post about the Kirk Cameron song was what made me decide to make this thread!

I met yxboom, graceinme and r00bz in real life after becoming a member of TWeb. I met 1Way (who has rarely ever posted here) the weekend that TWeb evolved. I met His4shur, FlimFlamboyant, AmberD, and Ray Watson at a bible conference and they since joined TWeb. Neither of them have ever posted very much however. :nsm: That's all I can think of.

He lives with me and my husband.

I gave birth to him.

Does that count?

I suspect I may know a few. Some of the conversations here remind me of a few people I use to know. By the way, is there anyone here from central Missouri?

At one point I had three co-workers of mine here but one hasn't ever posted and the other two went inactive after a quick spurt of activity.

KenDemeyer invited me here from Yahoo's Atheist Vs. Christian Debate. I don't know anyone here from real life...as far as I know.

However, I do know a few handfuls of ministers and a gaggle of active Churchgoers in a few denominations in a few states (and none of them know I post to Tweb)...so that might include one of you.

Well, I didn't, but it was a pretty awesome show. . .your bass player blew me away. He was just kinda groovin' the first couple songs, but then when he busted out the tapping. . .aw dawg, that was awesome. I loved the screaming into the pickups too. . .that was pretty awesome.

SDS was awesome too, I've been listening to them for about two years now off and on, I never got any of their CD's but I knew a few of their songs. . .I wasn't a real fan until last night. They're pretty cool guys.

But yeah, I invited probably 6 or so people here, but none of them post much. However, I believe Centurion was posting for a while. He goes to my school. But Em7's the only member I've met since he joined.

My brother (Boromir, yes that user is really my brother in the real world) joined and was active for about a month, then disapeared (from TWeb, not from real life).

I also had a friend who joined but never posted.

I didn't think I knew anyone on TWeb, but I'm forgetting my housemate croz (for whom I'm being bestman this summer) and stevy. I knew both of them before TWeb even existed!!

I don't know anyone at T-Web personally, though I know we have a few other people here from Central Ohio/ Columbus metro area. I don't get out much.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting RightIdea when my little brother (TfBandie) and I flew to Denver in November for the very last Five Iron Frenzy Concert ever! He was a very gracious host! Here's a photo of the three of us (me in the middle).

I met Covenanter once, and that seems to have scared him away from Tweb. *sigh*

Maybe some of us - 'Cous, Marky P, and others? -will meet up at the convention if JCA can organise anything in England.

AcousticJS

Depending on when the convention is - it'll need to fall in between one of the three weddings I've got this summer - I think I'd be up for meeting up.

Greenland? Labrador? You realize, if you really want to get technical about it, Niger or Mali (in Africa) is closer to the exact center the map you provided.

Tried for the geographical centre; we got people in Californ-i-ay and the People's Republik of Oregon after all.

What about the Azores?

As for me, I know not personally as in actually seeing in person, a member of TWeb, though I was very tempted to head down to our Columbus office so I could smack Elysian around after her rather repugnant post regarding "my lifestyle".

Well, according to Elysian, it was this. (http://www.theologyweb.com/forum/showpost.php?p=561125&postcount=58)

She has since apologized for it and I lost the desire to make the boring 2 hour drive to Columbus just to smack her upside the head. So I still haven't personally met any TWeb users.

Yes it is a very boring drive. Watching the freighters and barges on Lake Erie is cool though. I've not been up that way for a long time which is too bad, there's some awesome wineries up that way and I could use a bottle or two of a nice blush or even a Merlot.

Jimmy I'm glad that's not your reality. I know (at least I've heard the legends) that there are straight men perfectly capable of maintaining a pleasant and aesthetic living space, who can prepare nutritious and tasty meals, and who can even launder AND color-coordinate their own fashions. Sadly, most of the single guys I have known have had the housekeeping prowess of swine, have been unable or unwilling to cook anything other than mac and cheese or leftover White Castles, and would develop a hernia with the quickness if they tried to pick up their own beer bottles or Taco Bell wrappers. I have not had the privilege of being exposed to men of higher caliber than Homer Simpson. My bad.

When you find female companionship she will be most fortunate. Unless you like football. Then I would feel sorry for her unless she likes football too. There's something about football that seems to take over the football fan's brain. I might as well not even exist on OSU football days, well at least until my husband and his buddies want more beer and wing-dings. I don't get it, but then I never really developed an interest in sports. I wasn't allowed to play any type of contact sport as a kid, but even so the whole sports thing seems overrated. If I need exercise I will ride a bike, or take a walk or go swimming- why do I need other people to mock me as I do it or trample on me? And why participate in physical activity and get all sweaty and gross unless it's because you need to get something done or you need to exercise? And why do you want to watch other people get all sweaty and gross? Does it make drinking beer more interesting?
:teeth:

(back on track)

I think GreyPilgrim is from the Columbus metro area as well.
