I would reccomend to everyone a set of 3 books from www.m7000.com by Avi ben Mordechai.
Messiah volumes 1-3.
By far and away these books lay the most solid foundation I've ever encountered.
Shalom,
Yafet.

SimChat Torah, you are a Messianic Jew, I take it? I occasionally work with a Messianic Jewish organization here in Denver called Menorah Ministries.
Shalom!

Ah, yes... I've seen Menorah on the web somewhere...
actually, instead of messianic, I prefer the title (i hate titles) Jewish Believer. There are so many connotations that come with "messianic".... as well, most messianics are gentiles these days, so simply to let people know specifically, I just say "jewish believer".
I do attend synagouge, and I'm currently enrolled in two differnet Yeshivot (a Yeshiva is like a seminary, but for Rabbis and much more intense, typically lasting 7 yrs + ).
Anyway, yeah... those books are by far and away the most solid foundation I could ever point someone to... especially Volumes 1 & 2.
Shalom,
Yafet.

Yes, that is the one.
But it sounds to me like you are still putting yourself under the Law, are you not? Claiming the Torah still should be observed, obeyed...

That is not exactly how I would state it, however, this topic should be best saved for a different thread.

A debate on the subject would be appropriate for another thread, yes. But knowing where you sit is relevant if you recommend books you agree with.

To find out where I stand on specific theologies, look around the board... I am new, but I'm posting quite a bit.
shalom,
Yafet.

Dear Yafet:
I get involved periodically with Jews for Jesus as well as am friends with CHAIM. I have thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Brown's Answering Jewish Objections to Jesus and found him to be a very gracious and helpful man.

Yes, I have known Dr. Brown for abuot 7 years now. I've spoken with him personally on multiple occasions... and he is quite intelligent... and a compassionate individual as well.
Shalom DeeDee.
