Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
Be encouraged victory is not always won but comes as a gift from God…

“But—“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.”” (Titus 3:4–7, NLT)

God knowing full well we would eventually go down in defeat has set us up for victory. “He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.” However, it is imperative that we understand what it means to be victorious by God’s understanding and not our or the worlds understanding. For example immediately following Jesus’ death on the cross the disciples thought they’d lost everything and spent three days living in defeat only to discover that what they understood as defeat actually opened up the doorway of victory.

Across the street from our house is a white birch tree that forms a giant V. I first discovered it at a very low point in my life when I experienced myself succumbing to defeat. I remember thinking how tired I was getting of “spinning my wheels and getting nowhere” and I was ready to quit fighting. Then one morning I was getting ready to go somewhere and walked out the front door and there it was A MESSAGE FROM GOD, “Victory would come through my relationship with Jesus and not my relationship with myself or any other worldly relationship.”

Since that day I’ve come to understand there are times when many of the victories we experience in life are not won but are God’s gift given us by the Holy Spirit. And I’ve also come to understand one of the best ways we can help ourselves or others experience God’s Victory is through the ministry of encouragement.

One last thought – every citizen of God’s Kingdom started out as a loser!

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary
