Well...that's it; the end of another term at uni. which means that I'm going to be away from my broadband for a significant period of time - 'til late september. So up until then I will only be posting sporadically on the boards. I will respond to PMs if anyone wants to talk/point me to a thread to get involved in. Now if only I could persuade my parents that an always-on connection was worth the money...

Well at one time I thought DSL was just a waste of money etc. But with the pervasiveness of the need for Net connections, not just because I am so involved with the forum, I don't really see it as that much of a luxury in a modern home. What I mean is this - no doubt even having a computer is a luxury in the scope of life and in the face of extreme poverty where food is scarce. But in a lifestyle in which a computer is part of hte everyday life, DSL is almost now a necessary accessory to that, like having an antennae just doesn't cut it any more for television though there was a point in time when cable seemed like such a luxury.
