Bush, Blair to be charged with war crimes

Baghdad - A team of Iraqi commandos has captured President George Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair in Northern Ireland, said Iraqi Information Minister Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf this afternoon. "They are being transported to Baghdad, where they will be put on trial for war crimes." The presiding judges will be Saddam Hussein and his sons Qusai and Odai, who were said to be nowhere near the site that was bombed in a residential neighborhood in Baghdad today. The Information Minister added, "We will be flying them into Saddam Hussein airport, which is still under our control, since we have annihilated any American soldiers foolish enough to approach it. After they are found guilty, the criminals will be given the slow and painful death they deserve."

When asked for comment at a press conference in Hillsborough, Northern Ireland, Bush and Blair denied the report.

Don't you just love "Baghdad Bob?" He's got to be the worst propagandist in history! I mean, I'm sure that spl_cadet made that up, but it does sound like something he would say. Admittedly, propaganda is spun on all sides of a war, and it is an arguably necessary tool. But for it to work, it has to at least seem credible on the surface. I think "Baghdad Bob" missed that particular class.
