While some may proudly declare "I had an abortion" - you can declare your pro-life position with our new "I Had My Baby" shirt. (http://www.cafeshops.com/theologyweb.12650309)
Planned Parenthood would have us think that by eliminating one's baby one can put off being a parent, but the fact is that once pregnant, a woman is already a parent, the option is now whether one will be the parent of a living or a dead baby. It is NOT honoring to a woman to think that an option out of a difficult situation is to stoop to killing her offspring. Honor the unspeakable privilege of women to bring new life into this world with this life-affirming apparel.

Great idea! I want as many as I can afford to buy for friends.

I'd also like to see something applicable to foster and adoptive parents.

Hi DD,
An email I received says, "If you want to hear a moving voice from one who has been there, take a moment to hear Dee Dee's heart about her two children lost to abortion."
Where do I find that essay?

Hey there apple, unfortunately my post on that got lost to pruning. Do you ever frequent Paltalk? I love to share on paltalk my perspective on abortion. A lot of people don't like it - becauses it is pretty down and real. The fact is that I know that it is not that I have no children, nor am I not a mother. I am the mother of two dead children. There are a lot of things that I have a great desire for that I think cheats women. Our laws cheat women but deceiving them into thinking it is right to kill one's offspring. The abortion clinics cheat women by (at least not when I had mine) really informing the women about what they are doing. I didn't know my babies already had brainwaves and a heartbeat. No one ever told me. Would I have still done it? Maybe. I can tell you that if I heard the heartbeat, I nevr could have. Women are being deceived quite frankly IMHO. Do you know what pro-life groups have found are the biggest deterent to abortion? Let the women see a sonogram or a fetal heart monitor. The second, next cheapest, send her home with a basket of baby supplies. I would suspect the next would be to let her speak with an infertile couple.

I have PalTalk but seldom use it. Do you feel abortion should be outlawed?

Except in genuine cases in which the mother's life is in genuine physical jeopardy. Yes. Absolutely.

White elephant gift?
By the way, I like the idea. If the shirts are still in stock when Rebecca and I become parents and I see an abundance of women wearing an "I had an abortion" shirt (i.e. five in one week) I may get her one as a couterpoint.

I'm thinking of getting a t-shirt for my sister who gave birth to my precious niece this past April.

At what stages were your babies when you had your abortions DD? I'm just curious.
I think ensuring that everyone knows a great deal about the process of fetal development as possible is a very good thing. I'm not debating here, just stating that the extent of our disagreement is much more so in terms of what is right political strategy in seeking to prevent abortions. I think there is a good deal of evidence that we will never make elective abortions in the first trimester illegal again and keep it illegal.
Here is a good collection of pictures from different stages.

I have always like Ronald Reagan's quip on abortion. It went something like:
"I've noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been born."

But it's pink and won't fit. Plus I am single and don't have any babies. :-)
But how about "We had our baby!" ??? It promotes babies and couples (married of course)

I had babies and I had an abortion and I don't see why I should advertise one or the other...
I am for the right to abort as well as the right of access to contraception for all women...
Keep abortion legal and rare...

Well, as for me, I share the view of Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
Namely that abortion is child murder.
That sounds logical to me.
