Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
Spiritual Growth and the voyage of People of the Journey…

We are People of the Journey, a journey that never stops, that never takes a break. While there may be times when it seems as if we have arrived at the end that is an illusion because it’s a journey constantly moving through jungles, through deserts, through fertile valleys, through storms, through peaceful summer days. It is a journey from here to there but never from there to here, it is a one way journey. It is the Journey of Growth. Not physical growth, not mental or emotional growth but Spiritual Growth.

Spiritual Growth has been defined in many ways by many people but my need to understand the simplicity of matters pertaining to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and my life seek a simple way of understanding the seemingly complex process of growing spiritually. Yet at the same time it is not my desire to remove the depth, width, and height of what it means to grow spiritually.

I understand Spiritual Growth as our increasing capacity to experience God in our everyday journey through life. Spiritual Growth is our response to the inner voice of the Holy Spirit planted in every person that cannot be stilled calling us to a relationship with God and the Holy Spirit’s response to our need to experience God. Spiritual Growth can only be pursued by reaching up to God who is reaching down to us, spending time worshipping God, spending time reading and studying the bible and other material designed to enhance our experience with God, praying, listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Luke writes, “God has done all this, so that we will look for him and reach out and find him. He isn’t far from any of us, and he gives us the power to live, to move, and to be who we are. “We are his children,” just as some of your poets have said.” (Acts 17:27–28, CEV) Spiritual Growth, the voyage of People of the Journey can be reduced to studying God in God’s world, the world in which we live.

And lastly Peter gives us our real source of successful Spiritual Growth. “Let the wonderful kindness and the understanding that come from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ help you to keep on growing. Praise Jesus now and forever! Amen.” (2 Peter 3:18, CEV)

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary
