He's at the vet having a leg amputated. He got caught in a string Tuesday and the circulation was cut off. The foot died along with most of the leg.

He's been doing fine - he was wrestling with his brother this morning. But he's tiny and anesthesia is something of a risk. He was purring when the vet took him in the back.

Nope - he didn't have a name before today. I was hoping to find him another home.

I just talked to the vet's office - they said he was doing fine.

Praise God! :woohoo:

 Thanks, everyone!

He's home. He purred the whole morning and wanted lots of attention - I took him with me to Tractor Supply and he got to run around the bathroom a little.

The vet took the entire leg. Hopalong only seems to notice when he's trying to climb - hasn't go the hang of it quite yet.

 Thanks, everyone!

I have the world's worst camera phone and the pics I did of my scarves were horrible, too.

:sigh: I'll see what I can do - but don't expect much...

My DD volunteers at a shelter for disabled/elderly cats -- there are cats there with 3 legs and some with brain damage that makes them unable to walk straight, but in both cases they manage to get where they need to go.

Stitches came out today - he was a little trooper. Decided to love on me all the way home (good thing he's still small...).

:brood: Did notice today that he could now be neutered (something descended - family show) - they weren't three weeks ago when the vet would have thrown it in for free.... Stupid cat...

Anyway, he's doing great - thanks, everyone!
