I've read a couple of people talk about the GIMP and it being complicated. I agree. I just downloaded it and started playing with it (my first experience in image editing) but I found a great online book that explains how to use the software.

Here's the link for the GIMP for Windows

GIMP for WINDOWS (http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/)

And here's the link for the book. . .
Grokking the GIMP (http://gimp-savvy.com/BOOK/)

Now the Book can be downloaded to your PC, just use a zip program like Winzip to extract it.

Have fun!

The GIMP is great, but whatever you do don't run the Windows version!
Get yourself a Linux partition - GIMP runs much more happy that way.

I am a hypocrite though, for my linux partition doesn't work properly, because I can't get it to work.

I have had "some" problems with the GIMP, but overall it has run stable on my XP system.

The problem is Windows, not the GIMP.
