The summer movie season is less than a month away now, and I thought it'd be neat to provide some info on the genre releases about to appear "at a theater near you." (Anyone else remember when they used to say that on TV spots?)
X2 -- (May 2) The sequel to 2000's X-Men, with new mutant good guys Iceman, Nightcrawler, and Pryo (who???), as well as Wolverine's ex-girlfriend turned baddie Lady Deathstrike.

The Matrix Reloaded -- (May 15) Zion's in trouble, and the only one who can save the city from the machines is Neo. Neo's got troubles of his own, though, in the form of a pair of silver-haired viruses the Matrix has unleashed to combat him. Oh, and somehow Neo and Trinity have time to fall in (and make) love.

Bruce Almighty -- (May 23) Jim Carrey plays Bruce who, after complaining to God too many times that He isn't doing His job right, is given omnipotence to see if he can do the job any better. Comedy ensues. Looks like he squanders his gift by giving Jennifer Aniston huge breasts.

Hulk -- (June 20) The director of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon adapts the big green comic book hero to the big screen. So, we can expect thrilling action sequences puntuated with interminable stretches of chickish dialogue? :hrm:

Wow! Four big genre releases, and calander summer hasn't even started yet! I'll be back soon with the rest of the movie season in sci-fi!
