Installed a new printer for the kid. Everything seemed fine, text and colors printed well. Then I drove 300 miles home.

Im told the picture is fuzzy and the password box no longer comes up. Not only is the net unavailable so are documents.

Is it too soon for burial?

The kids sign on asks for a password.

I thought that was normal...

I assume you're talking about a password to get online, right?

As for this...

Im told the picture is fuzzy

Is this a printed picture or a picture on the screen?

Hm.

MSN 8 is a program they run to get online. Read mail, send mail, surf web, etc.

The fuzzy screen might be because the video is set to a resolution the monitor won't handle.

Hitch, is it possible to find out what version of Windows they use? Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, like that?

Its XP,,, I would think th eresolution should be OK because it looked fine during the process of installing the new printer. Then I switched th emachine clear off and restarted it a couple of times just to aviod the kind of trouble we're having.

Worked great eh?

Thanx
