View Full Version : A call to Socretes

It has been asked numerous times of Socretes to atleast give a brief account of his Chemistry expertise. While I understand some people want anonymity, I feel that what is being desired is not too much. Furthermore, Socretes is always quick to pull out how unqualified anyone else is, even when they have degrees in the fields in which they speak of.
Socretes has taken no reservation of saying I merely have a BS in Civil Engineering. That tgamble isn't a scientist, etc...
I make this thread as a call to finally have Socretes either
1) give us his educational level in the field he claims, and possibly even what related published research he has done
or
2) for him to officially claim that he will never divulge such information, which is his right.
I feel it necessary that if he decides not to divulge such information, he can no longer be critical of the degrees or lack there of which his opponents have. Its not fair to do so elsewise.
Is this a deal Socretes?

Okay, please everyone Jimmy has made a specific request to Socrates. Please let Socrates respond or choose not to respond, at which point this thread will be closed.

Dee Dee,
Since I have made a similar request of Socrates (in a couple of thread) I'm going to repost it here.
Repost:
Socrates, since you have brought this up again I'm going to request that you clarify what you mean by "high science qualifications." Experience? Associate's? Bachelor's? Master's? Doctorate?
Also can you give us an idea what research you are involved in and what your role is in the study?
You've been pretty vague about your scientific background in the past, AFAICT, and I'd think that we all'd like some clarification.
I showed you mine, will you show me yours?

If socrates is worried about his anonymity, he can send his curriculum vita to Dee Dee. I am sure that she can be trusted to give a fair summary.
His many publications resulting from his vast research can be confirmed by a short trip to a good library, or a pubmed search, or a set of copies from the published abstracts of scientific societies. I expect a simple call to his University can confirm his honors there.
After all, I can think of no possible circumstance underwhich I would believe socrates without violating his anonymity. I nominate Dee Dee as "Special Master."

Dear Dr. GH:
I accept that assignment. I have been in contact with Socrates who is willing for me to do this, so I will make the necessary phone calls and obtain copies/view the written works. This will not be something obviously that will happen overnight. I will keep you posted.

Dee Dee,
Will you be able to reveal to us specifically what Socrates means by "high science qualifications?"

RA,
At one point I revealed it but Socrates asked that I be less specific, however I can say that it is an advance degree in the field of Chemistry.

Today @ 01:07 PM post located here (http://www.theologyweb.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=78566#post78566)
GrayPilgrim:
RA,
At one point I revealed it but Socrates asked that I be less specific, however I can say that it is an advance degree in the field of Chemistry. I've seen this attitude only one other time dealing with posters regarding such secrecy of their credentials.
I eagerly await Dee Dee's results.

RA and everyone:
I am going to confirm the information provided to me by Socrates. I do not have time to do this until next week. By confirm, I will make the necessary phone calls and review the published papers. I will then reveal to whatever specifity is granted to me by Socrates.

Anyone who requests that there information be kept private here, shall have that request granted. That is every member'ss right ,and I personally do not look kindly upon insinuations or aspersions cast upon someone making that request. I would just as zealously guard the information,if requested, of a nonbeliever here.
Socrates has allowed me the permission to make these inquiries. Until then, I am closing this thread. Any further questions until I have the results in hand can be addressed to me privately as a member has already done.

Okay, I have something to report. I have confirmed that Socrates has earned a PhD in chemistry from a secular university. I have ordered the published articles on Inter-Library Loan and have not yet received them.
