I read the first letter from Lewis in the book on prayer. He actually made some excellent points about all of the bickering in the Church. I see this as a major problem in our churches you have the Calvinist saying Weselyans are heretics etc. I think we need to agree on what Lewis called "Mere" Christianity the main issues Trinity, incarnation, deity of Christ, etc. all other issues should be side issues. I have friends that if anyone ever decided that they where not going to be a Calvinist they would never talk to them again. This is what makes me so angry there is room for disagreement. I may disagree with Arminians on some points but that does not mean they will not be with me in Heaven.

THis book is by far my favorite C.S. Lewis book. You are right, he does make some great points.

"What soul ever perished for believing that God the Father really has a beard" (22)?
