My wife is leading/facilitating a bible study based on "Breaking Free". As a student of scripture and keeping true to the overall message, I noticed something that got my atention about the study. We saw a clip of a video during service on Sunday with Beth Moore speaking and the thing that got my attention was this, "This bible study is about us" and she point both fingers toward herself.
Now, I know enough to recognize there's potenial for trouble in that statement. In general you could say that the message is for us, but not about us. The message is about Jesus. I want to be fair about this and not having gone through the study or reading the book personally, I though I'd ask if anyone has and what how biblical or unbiblical some parts might be. (I do plan to read it myself though. However, the bible study starts this week and I wont have time to read through it now.)
So, has anyone read the book or gone throught the bible study? I'd like to hear how it went and how much it focuses on us.
