Prince of Egypt was good. I am wondering if this flick is accurate in telling Mohammed's life. It's playing on the other side of town, think I may go check it out.

accurately? You mean from the Hadiths? I'm not sure if they are going to show him consumating his marriage with a 9yr old Aisha.

I thought Muslims weren't allowed to artis draw or sculpt images of prophets. I heard it's why Prince of Egypt wasn't popular among Muslims.

If it is the one I am thinking of, it's been around for a while - I am sure this is the one that was showing in Malaysia when I visited last year.
The animators must have had a very difficult time as they cannot portray Mohammed, so all the action is through his companions, which is a bit of a tiring device after a while.

Supposedly the film is filled with recitations from the Holy Quran, so the depiction of Mohammed is made legit by this fact. I could be wrong, however, I often am...

so is it actually animated or some sort of slide show? I noticed that the "trailer" did not actually show any animation.
