I was disapointed in the sudden demise of the DSS forum and would like to renew it.

It would include all archeological finds, research and news involving Biblical scripture and related finds.

One of my interests is the recent discovery of arabic numerals on DSS, and the apparent use of Roman urns and/or vases to store Hebrew documents.

Shuny there wasn't a DSS forum here - so there wasn't a demise. If you would like to start threads talking about the DSS they are most welcome. The other thread was closed as it was becoming more of an advertisement for another forum, and while yes we at TheologyWeb think that a DSS forum is a very worthwhile venture, we have to fairly apply the advertisment rule for we have disallowed numerous other such threads on other issues. We just do not allow advertisments for other forums of a theological nature here - we make some limited exceptions for forums that are completely not theological and do entertain Sister Site relationships with nontheological forums such as we do with the Christian Anime Alliance.

Postscript - DSS talk would be perfect in the Biblical Languages forum - why don't you start some threads there.

I may if the discussion I want to discuss is linguistic or the interpretation and translation of languages. I was more interested in archeological finds, research and discussions on the controvercies.
