Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

    A Glory Seed Devotional
    Jesus prays for your faith…

For many (including me) the question that often is asked in prayer goes something like this, “Lord, when the world presses in on me and bends my faith in you to the breaking point and I call out will you answer me and bless me?” And in response the Holy Spirit may speak to us directly or may simply remind us of a scripture that is familiar to us such as… “The Lord says, “If you love me and truly know who I am, I will rescue you and keep you safe. When you are in trouble, call out to me. I will answer and be there to protect and honor you. You will live a long life and see my saving power.”” (Psalm 91:14–16, CEV)

As important as it may seem to ask God whether or not he is faithful there is a question far more important that must be asked first and it goes something like this… “Gary, do you truly love God with all your heart, might, mind, and strength, are you as intimate with God as you possibly can be?” (Please exchange my name with yours.)

Perhaps you think you need not ask yourself such a question because you know for certain your faith is rock solid. While I can only speak for myself I have no reservations about admitting my faith is not as rock solid as I’d like it to be. That does not mean my faith (or yours) is wishy-washy it simply means our lives are anchored in Jesus and we have learned to rely on his faith than our own. It also means we know without an intimate relationship with Jesus we cannot have an intimate relationship with God and by affirming our dependency on Jesus with all of our heart, might, mind, and strength we are affirming and illustrating our love for God by accepting the giftedness of Jesus given us out of his deep and abiding love.

After questioning our own faith with something like this… “Gary, your belief in Jesus is stronger than you faith.” Then you’ll find yourself depending on Jesus not on yourself then you can exchange your name for Simon’s, “Jesus said, “Simon, listen to me! Satan has demanded the right to test each one of you, as a farmer does when he separates wheat from the husks. But Simon, I have prayed that your faith will be strong. And when you have come back to me, help the others.”” (Luke 22:31–32, CEV)

____________________, (your name) please remember Jesus IS praying that your faith will be strong!

Anticipate it! Experience it! Believe it! Be transformed by it!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary
