Okay.. here's the deal
You post the name of a track(artist, title) that best describes how you are feeling at the moment, and then explain how it relates. That way we can check each others songs out, comment on other each others' choices and perhaps understand each other a bit better ;)
here's mine
track name: Armand Van Helden - "You Don't Even Know Me"
explanation: This song relates to a very close friend of mine who is consistantly trying to manipulate my behavior by condemning certain aspects of it. The song originally annoyed me because when it came out in 1999, it described my behaviour towards others. Now it describes my friend's (soon not to be my friend if he continues) behaviour so I'm gonna make him listen to it. Quite a powerful secular track, guaranteed to make any Christian think.
what are yours?

Ok, this song is how I feel now! It explains itself. I have been really down for about 2 weeks now due to personal issues at home. I have been praying a lot and some how God have given me this kinda slow down your movin to fast kinda feeling. So I am taking one day at a time now and I feel groovy.
Simon and Garfunkel
Slow down, you move too fast.
You got to make the morning last.
Just kicking down the cobble stones.
Looking for fun and feelin' groovy.
Hello lamppost,
What cha knowing?
I've come to watch your flowers growing.
Ain't cha got no rhymes for me?
Doot in' doo-doo,
Feelin' groovy.
Got no deeds to do,
No promises to keep.
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep.
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me.
Life, I love you,
All is groovy

My life at the moment is played out to the LOTR 2 soundtrack. I just love the Rohan theme in it, and can't get it out of my head. It is occasionally interrupted by the Little Sweaty Sow theme from Need for Speed 3

I've been listening to a variety of music as I usually do - anything along the spectrum from pop to folk rock to hip hop to techno to hard rock. Today, I've selected some earthy, reflective tracks like Eels: Wooden Nickels, Goo Goo Dolls: Here Is Gone, Cracker: Shine, Everlast: Put Your Lights On, Ani Difranco: Promised Land, Jonatha Brook: Because I Told You So, K's Choice: Not an Addict (Hard Mix), Days of the New: Hang On To This, Elton John: This Train Don't Stop Here Anymore, Pink: Just Like A Pill, Lisa Marie Presley: S.O.B. , Rage Against The Machine: Darkness, The Strokes: Is This It, and Frou Frou (Imogene Heap): Must Be Dreaming. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm taking the day off before starting a new job; going through what seems like a never ending transitory stage ever since I went through rehab last August. It's all good, but when it's less than great I don't mind to a degree. I believe it's healthy to sit in the mud sometimes. I got pissed the other day with someone who acted like a total :dufus:, but really it's myself that disappoints, because I wish I was 100% above it. Being human, and still growing, I still tend to react. I am just extremely grateful to God for putting me in a position to remove myself from what is a dysfunctional/unhealthy environment.
