I was wondering, in the new temple(s), is there an ark? I'm asking this sincerely, because I don't know off the top of my head, and you guys would probably know better than I would.
Thank you.

Where does God reside, then?
SteveFirst, the Scriptures describe the earthly Jerusalem where the Millennial Temple will be built, and then we read:
"It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The LORD is there"(Ez.48:35).
The prophet Ezekiel also makes it plain that the Lord will rule from the throne that is set up in the Millennial Temple:
"Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the Lord filled the Temple. While the man was standing beside me,I heard someone speaking to me from inside the Temple. He said:
Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place for the soles of My feet. This is where I will live among the Israelites forever"(Ez.43:5-7).

In Christ,
MickeySince I am spiritual and not earthly, I of course view it a different way. I suppose this means those of the earthly mind cannot comprehend those of the spiritual mind, at least according to our dear Brother Paul.
According to Paul, God resides in us through the spirit of His Son Jesus. Also Jesus said we have eternal life through Him and we shall never die!! So the temple must by symbolic of us if God is residing in us. As soon as I am thru with revelation, I may study on the spiritual symbolicalness of that temple as it also shows a river coming out of it like the new jerusalem[ezekiel 47]. Pretty fascinating as we are now spiritual "Israel", those in Christ. Fascinating.
2 corin 6:16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among [them.] I will be their God, And they shall be My people." 17 Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you." 18 "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty."
john 10:27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
10 But God has revealed [them] to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know [them,] because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is [rightly] judged by no one. 16 For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

It means that those who have not been "born of the Spirit" cannot understand the Word of God.It means that they "receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God;for they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned"(1Cor.2:14).

Fascinating. No,the Temple is not "symbolic".It is a Temple which will be built on the earth.Ezekiel says,"In a visions of God He brought me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain,on which was a structure like a city on the south"(Ez.40:2).

In Christ, I suppose so, otherwise the futurists would get bored waiting on Israel to build a temple that would have to be built in "babylon", so a bad guy will sit in it. Poor Jesus, He gets no respect. Btw Mickey, how do you account for 3 different endtime wraths in revelaion, including the one about the "grapes/jews of wrath"?
20 " But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21 "Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22 "For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 "And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
Revelation 11:1 Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, "Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. 2 "But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot [for] forty-two months.
reve 14: 18 And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe." 19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw [it] into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
