Why did God give nipples to men?

Well, there's a couple of possibilities, and any or all could be the exact reasons God chose to create males with nipples.

One is that they are there for pleasure, as male nipples are often sensitive and used in sexual situations.

The more likely explanation is simply due to design economy. An embryo in its early development develops both male and female duct systems. It is only later that differentiation is expressed from the genes. So the nipples can simply represent an efficient way of designing humans to be readily differentiatied in the early stages of life.

Hope this helps.

Although I am not a creationist and will probably be moderated out of existance for posting here, a major error of fact has been presented that I feel should not be left uncorrected.

Not so.

The development of the mammary gland, then, involves a complex interplay of several hormones; paracrine proteins; and environmental factors at four different stages of life: embryonic, adolescent, pregnant, and lactating. The mammary gland never develops in normal males and does not become a fully differentiated organ in females, until the middle of pregnancy in the adult organism. Studies of this organ have given us insights into the complexity of local and hormonal control in mammalian development.

just in case if you get moderated :hehe:

 Thank you, Minnesota. You rightly point out places where I could be more specific.

For any who might be confused with my comments, I guess I should state clearly that obviously full and complete male and female duct systems do not develop in every embryo. Rather, up until a certain point, a certain amount of "foundational" development for both systems is laid down until the amounts of certain hormones like testosterone begin suppressing one or the other. More detail beyond this is probably better left to fully lifted quotes from a standard textbook.

My apologies for not choosing my words more carefully. Fortunately, the design efficiency is present in the more specific explanation as well.

One problem present is that the male can lactate. Don't believe me? Just do google "male lactation" or "male breastfeeding" and see what you come up with. In fact, it's a hot topic right now.

Certainly, I'm not for this by any means, but I'm just fleshing out all thoughts on this matter (no pun intended).

 *ponders what led to truthman googling male lactation/breastfeeding*

Why is this a problem?

Why did God give nipples to men?

To add emphasis.
God likes nipples.
