Awesome!
"If Jupiter and Venus were farther from the Sun on May 17, the conjunction would be a real eye-catcher," says astronomer Dr. George Lebo, a 2000 Summer Faculty Fellow at the Marshall Space Flight Center. "The human eye can distinguish objects separated by angles greater than 50 arcseconds, but Venus and Jupiter will only be 42 arcseconds apart. At closest approach the pair would appear to merge into a single brilliant star."

The part of the Bethlehem star is in the next paragraph, I know this is old, but the conjunction is to do with BC with the same planets I think, and 2 BC, June 17, I think, which is close to Father's day. :)

I also wanted to mention, that I think this could possibly be the Bethlehem star, though we really don't know for sure what that star could be. But the Bible speaks of Shepherds being out in the field, and I've read where some think this had to be in the spring or summer, as shepherds would have their sheep locked up in a barn in the winter months, even Israel get's snow sometimes too.
I have wondered since reading this if this could really be the timing, as since it is very close to Father's day, I wonder if God arranged for someone to ask for Father's day to be around the time He Himself became the Father of our Lord Jesus. Just speculating here, but I find it quite interesting.
