Here's the Canadian Red Cross and address and particulars to sending aid. I was pleased when I went on the site to see that they are asking people to be patient as their online and phone donation lines are very busy and overloaded with people giving donations, asking people to be patient. So, one can take the address down here and send a cheque by mail if one wishes.

Here's an organization that I have no doubt is helping right now, as they have small planes that can get into hard to reach areas.

Mission Aviation Fellowship of Canada. I'm sure there's an american web site, probably you'll find it if you search. Here's what is written on their Calendar for January, which is kind of ironic, as it looks like they have already been in Indonesia before helping with an earthquake .

"Humanitarian Relief"
Whether it's in response to an earthquake in Indonesia, floods in Haiti, or a famine in Ethiopia, with over 145 aircraft operating in some 30 countries, your MAF Humanitarian Relief gift ensures that aid can reach those in need within days instead of weeks."
