I'd like to begin taking my daughters (9 & 12) through little 15-20 minute Bible studies. Maybe ones that have a little bit of homework or something to think about afterwards.
Anyone have anything they've been through that has been good?

I have one that is a bit young, called "Leading Little Ones to God." If you go on the homeschool site www.sonlight.com
(note, I don't homeschool, but have found wonderful things there) you can find some devotional things there sometimes, in their Bible study section of their 'Basic' or 'Core' curriculum. You could just order the book or see if it is in your home Bible book store. I have also found some Bible studies that I'ld like to get for my kids, and they are also in a homeschool catalogue. Here's one, you can clik on the side for devotionals or things like that. www.joycenter.on.ca and I am really looking into getting some of their Proverbs studies. If you phone them, or e-mail them, they can tell you what would be suitable, and if you are in the U.S., probably show you which distributor would have the best deal for you.
Here is another homeschool catalogue that has Bible studies that go really into depth, like the Christian Liberty Press Bible studies, (by grade) or others in this catalogue. These can be anything from work books, to some with really neat maps and historical books to go with the studies (like the Greenleaf guides to the Old Testament, Egypt, Greece, Rome, etc.) or others like 'Bible Quest, grade 7 & up, or Bible Discovery, grade 4-6, or some more like Sunday School type courses.Best to look at the catalogue online, or do a search on these titles www.thehomeworks.ca

What you can study depends largly on what your daughters know and are capable of understanding. One great advantage you have is that they are at ages where they have questions. Based on my experience, you'll need to buy something one age group higher than whatever age group your kids are in.
Some important questions to ask yourself:
Do your girls go to a children's church program?
Are your girls christians?
Do they know the essentials of our faith?
Will you memorize Bible versus, storys or principles?
Is your goal simply to study the Bible for knowelege?
When I used to teach a 3rd and 4th grade class at my church, our curriculum had a hand out for parents to go over with their kids during the week. It included a weekly Bible verse, general topic discussion, and a project or game. If your church doesn't provide you with stuff like that, you could still base you weekly study time on the sunday lesson from church.
What I would do (this is not an easy thing to do):
I would begin by having them write down questions (not just Bible questions) that they wanted answered. If you don't know the answers then that will give you an opportunity to learn something new yourself. When you answer their questions, tell them how you found out the answers. Afterwards, I would give my own testimony. If your girls are christian, their homework can be to prepare their own testimonies.
That would fill up the first study. After that, you can pick the easier questions to answer while you try to figure out how to answer the more difficult questions so they understand the answers. The homework for each session could simply be to think about the answer and tell you if and why they each agree or disagree.
