Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Glory Seed Devotional planted for the Greater Glory of God
    A new day dawns…

Christmas Eve has give way to Christmas Day; the night of Jesus’ birth has given way to the day we celebrate his birth; and now all we can do is to look back on them in the rearview mirror. Or can we? Just because today is December 26th does that mean December 24th and 25th need to be behind us? Does the light of hope of Jesus’ birth not still shine? Has the peace the angels proclaimed returned to heaven?

For me the answer is no and no. If hope remains only in the past then the blessing of the future too will remain in the past. If peace remains only in the past then the conflicts of today will only add to the adversities of tomorrow. There are times when I wish one of the writers of the New Testament would have followed up with the shepherds who first visited the manger because I’d love to hear how Jesus changed their life. Did they walk with new found hope the rest of their lives? Did they return to their shepherd duties with an indescribable sense of peace? We may never really know the truth but the bible does lead us to believe their lives were never the same again.

While we don’t normally see the Christmas story as an invitation I am saying we should. We need to see the Christmas story not only as an invitation from Jesus, “Come to me.” But also as an invitation to, “Walk with me in hope and peace of a new life lived with me.”

When you think of the Christmas story do not do so with your eyes on the calendar instead keep them focused on Jesus and walk in the hope and peace of his birth. May Christmas 2014 continue to bring you rich heavenly blessings from a Timeless God who loves you unconditionally.

The GRACE of GOD is perfectly expressed in the life of JESUS! WE are individually and together an expression of JESUS’ life!

    Anticipate! Experience! Believe! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary
