28 " If a man finds a young woman [who] [is] a virgin, who is not betrothed, and he seizes her and lies with her, and they are found out, 29 "then the man who lay with her shall give to the young woman's father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife because he has humbled her; he shall not be permitted to divorce her all his days.
If we're to reinstitute the Old Covenant law, doesn't this seem seriously out of step with the progress of the treatment of women?

I don't see how that would conflict the theonomy, as that isn't a moral law. Theonomy looks to me like a Protestant, and inferior, version of the Social Kingship of Christ.

The specifics of treatment for rape victims isn't a moral issue. I rather doubt that anyone who supports theonomy supports the specifics of bringing back stoning either.

MichaelThis was asked as a question in Paltalk by the muzicman. A discussion of some time ensued, and several responses were offered to the above question. And then, after this discussion, the question, it seems, has been posted afresh here, showing no acknowledgement of any of the responses that were offered by myself and another person. I guess if a rebuttal to a challenge is offered in one forum, a common tactic is to go to another forum and pose the same challenge, hoping the people who offered the first rebuttal won't hear about it.
