You know of Answers in Genesis (http://www.answersingenesis.org/docs2005/0319dig_wells.asp) site, well, here's what they had to say about us "secular humanists"!

http://www.answersingenesis.org/docs2005/0319dig_wells.asp
Sadly, we’re in the same situation today. Philistines (the secular humanists) have greatly affected the water supply (i.e., the life-giving water of God’s Word) by filling in the wells (indoctrinating generations of students and their parents in evolutionary ideas and millions of years) … and thus have adversely affected the flow of water.

For example, God’s Word has been basically thrown out of public schools, and the Christian worldview is being removed more and more from the culture.

Answers in Genesis is a ministry that we truly believe God has raised up to help God’s people overcome the work of the Philistines through “re-digging wells.” With this re-digging, the nation can again find what once flowed so freely through the culture—the “living water” of God’s Word.

The “Philistines,” though, are great in number. And much more “digging” is still to be done. Indeed, the “water supply” has been greatly restricted in this nation.

Beside that baloney about "god being removed from the culture" nonesense, maybe he should take a history lesson and see what things were like when America was a lot more xianized than it was today...think he'd be comfortable around the time of the Salem Witch trials, maybe?

While we're at it, I'd like people to stop demonizing Satan.

My personal favorite was the one where AIG refers to people who accept the findings of modern science as pagan sun-worshippers. Id bother to find a link but I have seeds to sort. Wasnt it brought up here before?

POWELL:
If your opponents don't admit to being persuaded by your best evidence then you need to explain why not. Either your evidence isn't that good or something is wrong with them and serious debaters from both sides of an issue typically think their evidence is good enough.

Many theists conclude that the atheists actually have been persuaded, but won't admit it because they're rebellious. On the other hand, the theists who conclude that atheists are sincere in their disbelief may think it's because Satan has blinded them or God has left them or they had some bad luck or something like that.

Atheists are more often willing to accept that the theists are sincere in their belief. They often try to show that believers are subject to wishful thinking, too gullible, failing to properly apply the extraordinary claims criterion to religious claims or they are too unscientific or something like that.

I'm especially interested in refuting theists who conclude that no one has rejected the belief in God, that there are no real atheists except those who very quickly commit suicide. That's what I thought when I was a theist.

I do not agree with demonizing demons either, but that is another thread. I listened to Ken Ham on the radio and his fairy tales and it does not help us theists. However well-intentioned or demonizing-intentioned I never especially felt demonic before I became a believer. But then again, why would I? I would rather see theists defend theism instead of using hyperbole.

This area is for non-theist only. See above notice.

It is hysterical that in a thread decrying the demonization of one's opponets that you'd reference the Salem Witch trials in order to demonize your opponents.

At least AiG isn't pulling up a misrepresentation of a 300 year old misdeed in order to make a case.

Sheesh.

This area is for non-thiest only. Theist do not respond in this area.

However, this area is not for bashing theist either. To do that take it to a thread where they can respond.

In other words, this thread is closed.
