Well, that's the thing ... most people aren't dealing with this moron. They're dealing with Joe Schmoe Christian, who goes to Church (if there's not a game on), generally tries to love his neighbor (as long as his neighbor hasn't directly ticked him off), and wants nothing more than to get along with people.
Cu, let me ask you a question: if the view of Christianity that you present is so prevalent, then why did Horsely lose his run for governor of Georgia?

Horsely was too obvious.
You also have to remember that people NOW are scared or muslims, Scared of Terrorists, scared of Gays.
I am guessing that The people of Georgia were not scared enough to vote for Hrosely while they were scared Crapless enough to vote for Bush.
There is another theory, that Christianity is on the decline, and this is it's last big Hurrah before it slips quietly into the night.

Scared of Muslims ... that faded, and quickly.
Scared of terrorists ... that's fading.
Scared of gays? Come on, Cu--believe it or not, Bush has more Gays in appointed positions in his administration than Clinton had!
I am guessing that The people of Georgia were not scared enough to vote for Hrosely while they were scared Crapless enough to vote for Bush.
Well, I disagree with your guess, but like you, I'd also have to guess, and I can't guarantee that my guesses would be any better than yours.

 On this, I also have my doubts.

Cabinet positions are not the only "appointment" positions in Federal government ... see this article (http://www.lcrga.com/archive/199910221235.shtml) for more information.
