Recently I joined this coven turns out that I am One of the more stable males to show up. (The other guy isnt so much a covener but someone who is cool with his G/f and respectful of Wiccan beliefs) any who, We did have one guy going to be HP but He kind of flaked out, for what ever reason, so it fell upon me to be High Priest. So here is my question, What do I do know? what should I study in order to do the job well. Also I tend to be rather nervous when speaking in public. any suggestions?

Dude, don't freak out.
The leadership issue comes up again and again in neopaganism. The problem is that the people who most want to lead are usually the ones least qualified to do so, and the most qualified are usually wise enough not to want the job.
Once it is thrust upon you, though, it is best to accept it graciously and prepare to do your best. Try to emulate a Scoutmaster archetype, or maybe Dumbledore. Appear confident -- that will carry you about 90% of the way -- and speak with authority.
One of the best things you can do is shut up and listen. It's really easy to mistake tlking for leadership. Prompt people to keep things going, but try to intrude as little as possible on the organic circle development.
It is really not as hard as it seems.

My suggestion is to read texts from the faith path of the coven. If tradition Gardenerian/Alexandrian I suggest A Witches Bible by Janet and Stewart Farrar (A great resource for coven leaders). I also suggest (no matter what pantheon) Coven Craft by Amber K (A very good book that talks about effective group work).
