I am. :yipee:

For a quick answer you might want to check here (http://www.theologyweb.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=693) for a poll on "Tribulation Flavors"

If I said yes, would that be a total or partial preterits?

ooOoo, I didn't know there was such a thing. All these labels are confusing me! Can I modify the poll?

Udomiel, "full preterism" is a heterodox system that denies the future physical resurrection and the future bodily return of Christ.

There are some really good audio messages on preterism here

http://www.audiowebman.org/bbc/start/audios.htm

But there are some there that I don't agree with, so the only ones I would recommend right off the bat would be Gary DeMar's appearance on the Bible answer man and the series on the Olivet Discourse, both of which can be really helpful in understanding it.

Thanks efta, but I am more confused as ever. I thought that preterists believed in the physical resurrection, but the first sermon I read there talks about spiritual resurrection, and although it does not explicity say Jesus did not raise up in a physical body, it quite clearly says that he does not have one now. As for the rest of it, kinda confusing. I'm really looking for something that spells out what preterism is, and howit differs from other Christian beliefs.

Thanks!

Thanks alot Bill! That was more along the lines of what I was looking for.

New question brought on by reading that thread. If I understand correctly, Preterists believe the Revelation reffered to past events, not the end of the world. If so, do they have any beliefs about when, where, and how the world will come to an end?

Nope, they just believe that the next event is the end of the "millenium" (not 1000 years literally to them) and that it will just stop one day with the general resurrection.

Here's an outline to the basics of preterism as well. I think it gives a good overview, but the website it's on often has full-preterist material that I definately do not agree with:

I am sorry Efta, but I would never ever recommend anyone ever, ever to go there or to the Hymenaean archive. Full preterism fouls everything it touches.

I couldn't answer either yes or no, because I'm undecided on the matter. It currently seems to me that preterism is the eschatological view that's best supported by the evidence, but that's not my final conclusion yet. I need to study this issue more.
