Well, I just unpacked and plugged in my new comp, so I need to brag about it before it is outdated on Monday.
2.6 GHz Processor
512 Mb RAM at 400 MHz
GeForce4 Video Card
120 GB Hardrive
17" Flat Screen Monitor
DVD drive
CD R/W drive
4" Floppy drive
I installed a program that is about .6 Gigs, and it installed in 15 seconds.
WOW!
I will talk to you all next week sometime, I am going to be busy playing Mideval: Total War.

:duh:
Wow... I tried to play M:TW on this machine, and all it showed was a wasteland of white and the occasional un-textured tree. So I could hear a bunch of people screaming in latin and russian and killing eachother without being able to do anything about it.

What are you talking about?
It was outdated exactly 2 minutes before you bought it.

I always do them backwards.
Besides, my dad actually used 4" floppys, they were called punch cards.
Yup, he actually used punch card computers when he was in school getting his engineering degree.

I have a nice laptop also, but I better not put too many games on there or my profs may get suspicious and my wife might just kill me.

As opposed to a Mac which is outdated weeks before it is designed?

Paraphrased PA on the Ipod, but this attitude generally holds for all Apple products:
Gabe to Mac guy: Hey.
Mac Guy: Hey yourself.
G: So I was about to buy an Ipod, but then I came to my senses and bought a thirty dollar Sony Discman instead.
MacG: (smug)But the Ipod doesn't skip.
G: Neither does this. It's cushioned by about three hundred and eighty dollars in cold, hard cash!

ARGH ... I am so jealous! I have wanted a laptop now for the longest time ... I'd love to not be tethered to the desktop.
