The original theologians were those who saw Jesus. Each one told there story of what they believed. Yet I was told that the diciples kept parchments they had written, first came the word, then it was written down. Are any of these documents still around? The main thing about the bible is believibility. Therfore the original source is proof, everything else is speculative.
I totally understand why doubting Thomas doubted Jesus. A picture is worth a thousand words. What original proof is there to say Mary& Joseph were real? Jesus never signed nothing, that we know of, the diciples wrote letters.History does state there was a Pontius Pilate. Are there Roman records of Jesus's death? surely they kept records?
The truth is found in the proof of the document. Todays society has a serious problem with anything called spiritual. How do you prove from a theological point of view your point to a non christian?
