Well guys, you made it very difficult to decide. We saw some excellent entries that showed what a great grasp of your chosen biblical books you all had, not to mention the awesome depth of your faith! I praise God for the gifts he's given you and for your relationships with him. Reading each one of these has enriched my own faith and I thank you for your participation!
There were, however, several entries that stood out in need of special recognition. Your confessions were evaluated on your mastery of the main themes of your chosen book(s), your use of language and/or concepts from the biblical material, and the execution- the actual construction of your confession, including structure, flow, and organization. Xavier and I have conferred and reached several mutual conclusions.
First, for an honorable mention for the efforts of Darth Executor, who composed his own Psalm (http://www.theologyweb.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1035031&postcount=49) that, while masterfully done, wasn't quite what we had in mind from a Confession of Faith.
We had two Runners-Up for the top prize- tizzidale's (http://www.theologyweb.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1030678&postcount=15) fantastic post that grabbed the main themes of Ephesians squarely by the horns, and Joan of Arc's (http://www.theologyweb.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1035407&postcount=53) awesome exposition of the Gospel of Matthew that adapted Matthew's material very well.
Finally, we had a tie for contest winner between Mark_S' (http://www.theologyweb.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1030588&postcount=8) superb confession based on I and II Timothy and Jaltus' (http://www.theologyweb.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1035002&postcount=48) exhaustive and well-structured effort from Luke-Acts.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your participation. This has been great fun, and has helped me learn a great deal as well. I hope you learned from this exercise as much as I have! to all of you!
