I read somwhere that they were updating it, ever since the low-carb craze kicked in....but has anyone ever really used the thing anyway? I know I certainly can't eat 6-11 servings of bread a day, or whatever it is now. Just wondering if anyone takes this thing seriously instead of just looking at the pretty colors. (Red is bread, yellow is fat and sugar, green is vegetables...)

The USDA (or whichever organization is in charge) released a new customizable pyramid not but a month or so ago.

Be sure to check out the offical web site of the program:

I like the Canadian food rainbow.
here (http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/hpfb-dgpsa/onpp-bppn/food_guide_rainbow_e.html)
It's just so much cooler than a pyramid.
