After being shut down by Baker Books for a minor copyright infringement, BELIEVE is back on line

http://www.mb-soft.com/believe/index.html

BELIEVE is a collection of over 2,000 articles by respected scholars on around 900 religious subjects. Protestant Christian Churches, the Roman Catholic Church, and the Orthodox Church, all follow Faiths which involve hundreds of individual subjects, which are each thoroughly presented in BELIEVE. Many of these subjects are very important to Faith, like Eschatology, but are seldom presented in Church Services or during Bible Study. Others are commonly known religious subjects, like Salvation, that we just present more thoroughly than is usually available.
We think you might find it refreshing that we have no intention of pushing you toward any specific attitudes or positions. We also have no intention of trying to get you to like or dislike any specific group or Denomination or Faith. (We DO hope that you will pursue SOME Faith and some method of Worshipping God!) Our intent is only to present you with enough accurate, unbiased information such that you can make your own conclusion about any particular subject.
As mentioned above, we have gone to considerable effort to eliminate bias from this collection of articles. It is reasonable for most authors to be enthusiastic for their subject, but if an author showed such an extreme attitude that possible distortion of facts might happen, WE LEFT SUCH AN ARTICLE OUT! BELIEVE is meant as an information source which has the most "level playing field" possible, so that readers can count on getting useful and fair and accurate information. There is only one substantial bias that was NOT removed, that against Satanists, Atheists, and similar groups. We considered including some of their own information, to balance some of the negative comments that some of our included authors make, but we decided that we did NOT want to encourage or publicize or support the activities or beliefs of such groups.

I found a mistake here (http://www.mb-soft.com/believe/text/charisma.htm#tongues)/ The author has the chapter of Acts incorrect in the first paragraph or so.

I'm not sure it was ever really 'off-line' tho...when i first heard of its demise i didnt know if i could go without it and was able to find a still active link to downloading it on my harddrive (its so small i nearly ran out of space!)

Anywho, I think that it is a good source for those who dont know much about what the people facing the pews were supposed to learn before using the lectionary :teeth:

Time to put more space on my comp.
