why is it that Christians today are so busy dissing their brothers and sister?

why is it today we are more concerned at kicking those brothers and sisters that are down instead of reaching out to them?

why is it that Christians instead of accepting those new to the faith as having errors and not knowing as much as someone else that is not new, we tend to find their errors and poke big sticks into them and then pour the salt in?

why is it that instead of praying for a Christian who has fallen under Satans power we diss them in public, we make fun of them and basicly Join satan in his childishness?

why are we not praying for all these people?
why are we not coming alongside these people that need us?
why do we cast them to the wolves without a second thought?

sometimes I get upset when I see a Christian dissing another Christian over a doctrinal belief that does NOT matter to salvation... what is the point? why risk making a brother or sister fall.
we are good at finding fault in others arnt we? we have become very good at it.
have you stopped to think before you attack a fellow Christian?
have you ever imagined you in their place and how you may feel?
what about the big names like benny Hinn have you ever stopped and prayed for him? No I guess not because he has become a charloten(sp?) he has become something I bet when God stopped him stuttering way back when he was totally relying on God and loved God he never imagined. It could be you.
maybe today you are in love with God you know the path you will take you don't think there is no way you are going to stray etc etc... maybe in 10 years you could be like those you dispise... If I came into some situation I would hope that there would be believing Christians who would lift me in prayer who would ask God to take my pride and allow me to fall so I could once again be close to God and walk in his ways.
maybe he is so blind right now that he can't even see God anymore... doesn't that mean we should be praying more?

Did Jesus call us to mock those who fall, to curse those who curse us... I bet you didn't see Jesus making fun of the pharisee's behind their back? He pointed to the truth he told them exactly how it was... he forgave them... he desired for them to see the truth... he probably even spoke to the father and asked for them.
so why do we feel the need to go about Satans buisness instead of our Father in heaven?

Good points. The only way to stop hatred is to deny it the fuel it needs to burn.

Near the end of the film The Cup (a story about a Tibetan Buddhist monastery’s encounter with pop culture), the following exchange takes place between the Abbot and some students:

Abbot: “Can we cover the surface of the whole world with leather to make it soft to walk on?”

Student: “No.”

Abbot: “Then what can we do?”

Student: “We can cover our feet with shoes of leather.”

Abbot: “Correct. Likewise, the world is full of evil. Can we ever hope to defeat all enemies?”

Student: “No.”

Abbot: “Of course not. The number of enemies is limitless, we can never overcome them all. What we can do is to put aside the hatred in our own hearts.”

(Transcribed from memory, I may have gotten the details wrong.)

Or as Jesus put it:

“You have heard it said, ‘You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.’ But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.”

Become a firebreak.

(((((((((((((Furay)))))))))))))) it's ok I think everyone has been guilty  including myself. All I was doing was trying to point out we really should be trying to act as we would like others to act towards us if we fell or if we became another religion or whatever. Christians are too busy trying to prove that they are right they fail to stop and think.

thanks neil  I might have to find that movie Now

thanks neil I might have to find that movie Now

It's one of those rare few films that has a clear moral direction, yet without being preachy, oversimplified, or 'sappy.' The kind of film you watch and think: "Why doesn't Hollywood make movies like that anymore."

The version I saw was sub-titled, so you have to be able to read, but if not for that it would make a great family film (it's rated 'G'). I'm not sure if a dubbed version is available.
