Will some one please give me the chapter and verse that Jesus told anyone (emphasis mine VF01) to write a book or please give me the chapter and verse that Jesus with His own hand wrote any book, thank you.Books were not in vogue at the time but you might consider Revelations Chapters 1 - 3. Pay particular attention to Revelations 1:11.

iN READING REV. 1:11 WE SEE THE REASON JOHN WROTE THE "book" OF REV. SO WHAT IS YOUR POINT.I noted v11 because many translations use "book" or "scroll." Read the rest of Revelations Chapters 1 and tell "us" who you think it is telling John to write the "book" (scroll) of Revelation. Mark_S, I am sure, would gladly help if you are having trouble figuring it out.

Ah, you must be one of those who want to say that because Jesus didn't write any of the Bible, the Bible isn't trustworthy, and we only have to rely on special revelation for anything we need.

Yeesh.

Joe, I recommend you look over in Apologetics 301 where I concluded my posting #13 in "Tophet's Historical Evidence for Jesus Christ as follows:
"All told, practically the entirety of Mark and John and most of Luke and Matthew can be attributed to eye-witnesses we can name. The particular material (parables, mostly) found only in Luke probably comes from one the the 72 disciples (Luke 10:1), as it is mostly found in the nine chapters after they are mentioned. The material found solely in Matthew may be the only part of the Four Gospels not from eye-witnesses."
I do not claim therein that Jesus wrote down his own words nor that he ordered anyone to transcribe notes. However, he did pick Matthew as one of his twelve apostles, who as a tax-collector was literate. He evidently wrote the material common to Matthew and Luke. This could have been written down during Jesus's lifetime, perhaps as intended or even directed by Jesus.
