I used to love playing this game, and I still do.
I just downloaded the ROM(as well as a few others for other games ) as well as a Nintendo emulator, and I can already tell this is a productivity killer.

SMB3 that was the one where you got to choose Toad and Princess right? I was doing the Zelda thing at that time.

You couldn't beat super mario world? I beat it spending twenty minutes at a display in the mall :bunny:

Super Mario World wasn't on the original 8-bit. I'm only referring to the old-old-school titles.

Oh.
Well.. you could beat Guerilla War at least, right?
Or Contra?

Vectrex? Wha...?
We'd probably still have the NES too (packrat son) but it broke ages ago ... and we traded up the oGB for credit :teeth:

Did you ever have the Sega Master System? That built-in game was way better than any of the cartidges you could buy.
Piebald
June 12th 2003, 10:56 PM
Nope, I've never owned a Sega System... only Nintendo and Sony. I have no next-gen consoles though :frown:
I am getting Gamecube when possible.

I have Metroid Prime, haven't finished it yet... I think Super Metroid was better, though. It is fun, though. Classic Metroid action.

The old Metroid took forever for me to beat. I neved owned it so I could only do pieces of it at a time at a friend's house.

Yeah ... that's why I want it. When classic came out, my (future) husband and I bought it and played it straight through ... like 12 hours straight ... until nearly 7 am, right before he had to go to work ...
We thought we were the bomb back then ...

As a GameFaqs contributor myself, rest assured I've heard THAT one before.
Super Mario Bros 3 Was Good. Liked abusing the all powerful HAMMER BROTHERS suit myself. Also had the benefit of one of the coolest Bowser themes yet.
Em, SMB1 wasn't THAT hard...assuming you knew how to get though Bowser's castle level 7. For more editorial comments and numerical rankings on various games, please feel free to click on my web link.

Its true - me and a couple of friends, during a little holiday we cooked up, raced with two TV's and two SNES's to see which team of three could play through each mario game the quickest. While we never tried with mario two (coz its weird n somewat less cool the then others), each of the other games only took an hour or two to beat (though I'm pretty sure we weren't racing to actually beat mario 3, just get to a certain world).

I'm working on beating Castlevania IV on the Super NES.
Really that's the only one I've beaten without getting cheat codes from Nintendo Power.
Anyone here ever play Wizards and Warriors? I use to love that game, then I tried playing it recently. Couldn't even remember how to get to the first boss.
