The Muslim extremist Mohammed Bouyeri confesses to murdering filmaker Theo van Gogh

The Associated Press reported today - July 13, 2005, that The Muslim extremist Mohammed Bouyeri stunned the courtroom in Amsterdam, Netherlands on Tuesday, when he said "I don't feel your pain," he told the victim's mother.

Mohammed Bouyeri stunned the courtroom when, in the final minutes of his two day trial, he declared: "If I were released and would have the chance to do it again... I would do exactly the same thing."

"What moved me to do what I did was purely my faith (His faith is Islam)... I was motivated by the law that commands me to cut off the head of anyone who insults Allah and his prophet," he said.

Bouyeri, 27, killed Van Gogh, who was shot, stabbed and nearly beheaded on an Amsterdam street.

Bouyeri addressed the victim's mother, Anneke, who was sitting in the public gallery. "I have to admit I don't have any sympathy for you," he said. "I can't feel for you because I think you're a nonbeliever."

The killing is thought to have been an act of retribution for Van Gogh's film "Submission," which criticized the treatment of women under Islam.

Prosecutor Frits van Straelen told the court Bouyeri would kill again unless he is locked up for life. "The accused preaches a message of hate and violence," Van Staelen said. "He preaches that anyone who thinks differently can be killed... He is and remains a danger to our society."

I can certainly see many instances in the news of Christinas beheading people because jesus told them too. I really do not understand these equivelency arguments you did something bad 500 years ago thusly you cannot critisize anyone who does anything bad ever. Thusly Jews have no right to complain about the Holocaust because they committed barbarous acts against the Hittites, Semites and all the other local peoples who lived in the area of Isreal 4000 years ago or were racist against the Samaritans.

I was going to respond in the same way, Thomas! So, as long as we're at it, we can always point to some of those O.T. terrorist acts by the Jews, as well as any done by people calling themselves Christians 500 years ago....and I guess that justifies anything!

How absurd! There are no Christians crashing airplanes into buildings and killing thousands. There are no Christians beheading people or blowing up children in the street with car bombs. Just look at what happened two days ago in Iraq - a terrorist blew up 26 Iraqi children who were crowded around an American GI who was passing out candy. Something is very, very, very, satanic about that act!

Right, so your way of being respectful is to call the sacred beliefs of Muslims the source of thousands of murderers.
