I am doubtful you know that much about modern psychology but your argument about modern psychology is anachronistic because I am referring to psychological and cultural anthropology. My arguments about visions involving ASC comes from the Context Group. If you read the excellent Social Science Commentaries on the Synoptic Gospels and the Social Science Commentary on the Gospel of John you would see my point about ASC. I simply believe that visions in antiquity involved ASC and your appeal to modern psychology (which doesn't span the last 2000 years or else it wouldn't be modern) is horribly anachronistic. There is a big difference between pride-guilt cultures and honor-shame cultures. A difference you appear to be ingorant of. But no worries; you can read up on them by ordering them off Amazon. Most informed Christians on here know of these commentaries and the excellent panel of scholars, the Context Group that has done excellent social-science work on the New Testament.
