How do you tell the difference between your spiritual gifts and your natural talents?

Maybe natural talent is a spiritual gift?

maybe the spiritual gift is the 'water' that makes your natural talent grow and flourish in ways it could not do on its own

One is supernatural and one is just plain natural and there is no such thing as discovering one's gift. It will just happen.

The problem most make because of poor teaching is confusing gifts with administrations or offices. One is a gift while the other is appointed.

God isn't needed for that. People go to classes to make that happen.

Or God could be using 'classes' as a means of growing the gift.

I've been in Pentecost too long not to know the difference. You don't "grow a gift". You use it. Knowing when to use it is to have the mind of the Spirit. Paul addresses that part of it alot in his letters.

That makes sense, Orm. Couldn't the same be said of natural talent though?

Never say never, so I won't. The problem is by knowing it is a natural talent -- and it will always come out that it is. The Lord doesn't want our sweat mingled with His endeavors. That is why He stipulated in Deut. and Ezek that the priests had to change from their street clothes into linen britches, that didn't cause seat, before ministering to Him in the Holy of Holies. That's a little off topic but my point is that God said He won't share His glory with another and He is never doing that when the Life of Christ in the Holy Ghost is manifest in us. That is the reality of Penetcost that goes untaught. It's not a second blessing or anything such thing as that but a relationship that the Father has with the Promise from Himself that we have the opportunity to manifest -- if we can embrace that truth.
