View Full Version : Manip Wars - TWebbers Take Arms!

Okay, Theonomy (and the rest of you clowns) - you asked for it! The self-pics thread is not a place for manips (good heavens, with the :spam: it's already out of control), so here is the home base for those of us who cannot control our creative urges or our compulsion to mess with each other's images.
THREAD RULES:
1) This is not a contest. You may award each other pearls as you see fit, but wouldn't it be cool to use the "rate this post" feature so all can see? It don't think that gets used enough.
2) Remain within campus decorum guidelines! (Maybe that should be #1.)
3) Un-manipulated images may be posted in the self pics thread and a link to that post may be posted here. Let's not make a mess of this thread, too, okay? Only manipulated images and comments pertaining to them should be posted in this thread.
4) If anyone finds their manipulated image posted against their wishes and wants it removed from the thread, they may say so, either in the thread or as a PM to the moderators. (Note to mods: If you'd rather have this done as a reported post, do say so.) Best etiquette would be to ask right here or in a PM to the "victim" if it's okay to use their image first.
Okay, that's enough rules. This is war. Here is my first response to Theonomy for messing with me in the self pics thread. And, I'm just getting started. I have about 6 more characters on my Photoshop workspace right now, just begging for his mug! Do your worst, sir! You may have it all over me in the theology department, but let's see how you measure up in digital arts!

Whatever you used yesterday is fine, Tuck...it's not a contest, so you can use Paintbrush or anything!
However, I'm amending the rules. If you're gonna play, you should post a decent, manip-able pic in the self-pics thread...something large and clear enough to work with. It's only fair.

Here's number 2 for Theonomy...Just a little warm up exercise!
Hmmmmmmm...I don't see where you can rate posts here, only the thread itself. $Cir?

hmmmm, I've just seen this thread. FIRSTLY, just pasting a face onto a body isn't exactly creative, and SECONDLY, Jardin's pics aren't as manip-able as mine! She's never looking straight ahead. That being said, prepare to meet your doom, Ms Prayer!

Well, Mr. Theonomy...FIRSTY, I did a whole lot more than just paste a face onto a body...have you no appreciation of what it takes to get the hue, saturation, color balance, brightness, contrast, etc. just right...not to mention adding the filters to give your face the proper grain and to make the integration as seamless as possible?!?!?!?! The very least you could do is give me credit for that! I expected at least a "Hey, that's pretty cool, if I do say so myself!"
And SECONDLY...just look at that pathetic contribution! How can you offer that up and then tell me my efforts lack creativity? I never expected you to be such a poor sport about this! Not to mention the fact that I appear to be looking straight ahead on THAT one, don't I?
I believe the ball is still in your court, sir.

Justin, I don't know why I insist on calling you and Rob by each other's names in this place! It's a brain wiring thing. Can't I just call you Justin and Rob?
Muz...step away from the computer, honey. You need to settle down. I asked you guys not to use that silly nude version Theonomy did of me. Have some decency, man! Here...get in touch with your feminine side:

Announcing the Grand opening of TWEB's own South Pole Shop.
(First we must pay homage to the inspiration, and the source of the raw material for much of what will be displayed... "Next Stop South Pole (http://www.penguin-place.com/cgi-bin/html_web_store.cgi)". A place where all your penguin purchase needs can be placated.)
And now back to TSPS....
Our first item, in honor of those who brought us this thread, would be a wonderful addition to any kitchen. Great for anyone needing to spice up their lives. Hand crafted in a cave somewhere in the wilds of an uncharted island in a pond in South Dakota...we bring you the Jardin-Prayer/Theonomy Penguin Salt and Pepper Shaker.
Maybe you're one of those people who never have time to cook? Are you always running late? Never sure what time it is? Then you my friend need our next item - The SparkOclock...the quartz movement will keep it regular. You'll treasure it forever, and at $39.99 it's a steal of a deal, matey.
If you have little ones running around in the house, or you just can't pass up cute stuffed animals...then this next item just might be your thing. We present to you the Nick and Stormy plush dolls....granted Stormy looks a little evil, we don't suggest watching any of the Chucky films if you buy Stormy -- but you really shouldn't worry about that. These dolls come with a lifetime guarantee... (and if you don't care much for the cat, we will sell you the Nick doll seperately).
For those of you who love a good Mystery book...we have one for you. Cup of Mystery in "Penguin Dreams". We have no idea what the book is about, but it has Penguins in the title so it must be good. Anyone buying this book, please send us a review...if it's bad, we'll trash the review (or rewrite it to make it sound good and sell more books), if it's good we'll post it here to sell more books. Of course you won't be paid anything for it - but we might give you credit for writing the review.
And finally, something we all need to keep track of how many paychecks it's going to take to fill up our gas tank... we offer the latest in calculator technology....the "Tuckulator". Acurate within 4 placeholders, at random times, within reason, during leap years, on odd days, during months with the letter "X" in them. The Tuckulator is a must have to keep your finances in order.
These items are in short supply and orders are rolling in, so you best place your order now....financing is available.
(We will let you know about new stock items as they become available.)
