nice work, showing some talent there

not knowing the age of your daughter I was a little afraid to open the thread, thinking this could be one of those potty training things.....:penShock:

If she's 24 years old, well, okayyy. If she's 3 years old, W O W!

The point being, how old is this little Mary Cassatt?

She's 13. And she has some talent with pencil, but she did this entirely in ImageReady.

Dad's pleased as punch, needless to say.

Looks like a tracing.

Looks like the original image was taken from the TV series, because in the manga, Sessho-Maru looks more effeminate and has a differently shaped chin.

She draws better than I did at her age if it is not a tracing.

It's sort-of not a tracing: the original image was a fan-art from the TV series. She had that image up in one window, her own drawing in the other, and kept jumping back and forth to check her image against the original.

Inu Yasha is a masterpiece of animation. Your daughter has excellent taste.

If it weren't for the hair, I would've thought Takahashi herself drew those. :thumb:

I told her you said this (and that you're a critical and knopwledgeable fan of anime, manga, and comics), and she spent the rest of the day playing "squee-girl" all over the house. Thanks, Johnny--you really made her day!
