I aquired a distinct distaste for almost all 19th century British novelists when I was required to read Dickens' Great Expectations, Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre and Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights in consecutive years in high school.

I love Dickens...don't like the female authors so much.
