I believe in predestination to a point- I believe That God created each and every one of us to serve a certain purpose, but we do have the free will to walk away from it, and oftentimes get lost from it, thus taking our purpose in this life away from us.
That is Satans number one goal when it comes to mankind- Leading us astray from our purpose here. It is up to us to stay on the right path that God created for us to follow upon our birth.
Fine examples of people who have been led astray by the devil, through the world, exist all around us in society today.. Hence the bible passage:
"Enter by the Narrow Gate: For the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it.
For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it."
Matthew 19:24
In short, yes, I do believe that God predestined a path for each and every one of us to journey along in this life, while at the same time throwing a challenge into the mix by also giving us free will to decide which road to follow.
One (Gods)road leads to life, and the other (Satans, the world) to death.. It's our own personal choice which road to follow, but once this trial called life is over, we can't change our mind, or try again, just as we can't change the ultimate destination of either one...
Any thoughts for or against this?
