Sometimes there are two figures given. A "Calories" figure (e.g. 300) and a "Calories from Fat" figure (e.g. 120)

Is the "Calories from Fat" included in th e"Calories" figure?

Is there anything else notable about "Calories from Fat"? What precisely does it mean other than "calories derived from fat"?

Yep.

Not really.

That's about all. The reason they list that figure at all is because the average person is recommended to get no more than 30% of their total daily caloric intake from fat.

That makes sense, and that last part is helpful. Thank you!
