More evidence God is working in my life and the lives of my family.

Answered prayer #1: the company that I am currently working for recently lost their license to provide services within this county. As a result, several homes and individual programs (i.e. clients living on their own) became available for other providers to take over. One of those homes is the one I work at. Also, my wife was also facing major upheaval as she supervises the home where I work and another home, and the individual programs she oversees were also affected by this change. One of the new providers seeking to take over some of the homes and programs is run by a couple from our church. Their company is Christ-centered and one of the best-run businesses of any kind I have ever seen, but they are a small and new company and were facing competition from larger, older, better-funded providers as well as one person who wanted to become a new provider. We didn't know at any point who would be taking over and we had several concerns about the companies other than the one run by the couple from our church. Indeed, we were far more concerned about the impact of this change on the clients we work with than for our ourselves. We put this before the Lord in prayer and He answered! Both of the homes we were primarily concerned about went to the couple from our church! We're really looking forward to working under them in a company that puts God first. Amen!

Answered prayer #2: this one is a bit more personal. My eldest sister and her son have been estranged for several years. When she and her ex-husband separated, he took the children (the son and a daughter) to another state and began feeding them lies about their mother and our family. These were terrible, vicious, evil lies that I will not repeat here. In any case, the kids were young and impressionable and believed every word. My niece eventually came to reject her father's lies and began a slow reconciliation with my sister and the rest of the family (a reconciliation that I can say has been complete for a while, now). However, my nephew continued to believe his father's lies and rejected his mother's attempts to contact him - even as he was preparing to get married. Thankfully, he and my niece were still in contact with each other and she got invited to the wedding. My family had been praying about this situation for a long time and we prayed that God would use this situation with the wedding as the catalyst for reconciliation between my nephew and my sister. Lo and behold, it seems that was just the case! My nephew recently initiated contact with my sister via email and it was a very pleasant letter - one that has filled my entire family with joy and hope. My family and I have no doubt that God opened that door, because no one else could've. Amen again!

That is great news - I was encouraged just reading about what God did.
