Toot! Toot!

Still workin' on it. It won't be long. I just have to juggle around a few other projects that I have going. I'm going to go through the multi-paste thingy and a couple tricks I've learned using it.

Crap and I was all excited and stuff. Maybe you should post it in the other thread to keep it all in one place to refer people to?

I was thinking of doing them in different threads and then putting each link in my signature when I have a few tutorials under my belt...

Okay, but we were thinking of having a thread in the tutorial section of the forum but I could also just merge them together for there, and keep them separate for here.

When you do that, could you merge only the tutorial posts into that thread, rather than all the commentary along with it?

Going to do my best to get it posted today. I have to run about 3-4 hours of errands today for family, but I'll be back home ASAP.

Le's try again:

PROPAGATE PASTING

I am going to show you how to paste images in more than one frame at the same time. This means that the image that you paste (in this case text) will be in the SAME place on the animation. This makes the animation much smoother.

This is our starter GIF. You may have to click it to see it move.

[attachment=1]

This is what we want to put in that GIF:

[attachment=2]
PLEASE MAKE YOUR TEXT RED. I Messed up and had to change colors halfway through because you obviously can't see black on black. So make the text red, not black

Only we also want:

1. The Text "Pills Please!" to blink
2. The Text "Pills Please!" to be in the same part of the frame, so it doesn't jump around.

We do this with this happy button:

[attachment=3]

That's the propagate paste. It allows you to paste the same thing into more than one frame at a time. Click it now. It's very handy, learn to use it well.

First we make this image, which is our text:

[attachment=2]

Then we open up our starter image and take a look at all the frames:

[attachment=4]

First, select the text image --note that the text has to be on a TRANSPARENT background. You know it is a transparent background because it has that "checker" pattern on it.

COPY the text image that says "PILLS PLEASE"

[attachment=5]

Now go back to the Starter Image. Select two different frames by holding down CTRL and using your mouse to click the correct frames. Release CTRL when you have selected the proper frames. From this point do not click on any of the other frames, if you do you will select that frame and lose one of the other frames from the selection.

[attachment=6]

Right Click on one of the selected frames and select "Paste into Image"

[attachment=7]

Move the text to the appropriate place in the animation and click (left) to set it.
You should now have this animation:

Okay, how about now? :smile:

Remember to click the images to see them move/the right size.

Now that I can do the movie files with sound and everything, I am going to make it a movie file. It should be pretty good! :smile:

I'll post it here when I can. Holidays plus Work issues is taking me away from computer projects.
