Where is the 1914 Generation?

The Watchtower Society, which claims divine inspiration for its doctrine (the only organization on earth used by Jehovah, etc.), used to teach that the generation living in 1914 who saw the events of that year would live to see Armageddon. For a full treatment of this, please see the following:

Now, we all make mistakes, but we don't all claim to be the mouthpiece of God. The Watchtower Society keeps its flock in line by teaching that Armageddon is right around the bend, and that if the faithful followers of the Society aim to live through it, they had better be out there knocking on doors spreading the Society's message.

The Watchtower claims to be the "ark" of salvation in these last days, (see Watchtower, Sept. 1, 1989). But, should God's ark be a false prophet? The Watchtower ark has sprung a big leak if we consider the fact that the 1914 generation is about out of here and still the Society's version of Armageddon has yet to be fulfilled.

Well, the Society has changed its interpretation of the 1914 "generation," and has proved once again that false prophets have to be quick on their feet to keep up with Father Time! If your first prophetic warning doesn't work out - well, you can just modify it to fit into reality.

Isn't it better to get into the real ark, Jesus Christ, and ask Him to be your mediator?

GOOD post. You of course know that they altered the words in that little space in the Awake though. It no longer says that the generation that witnessed the events would be alive when the end would come. Just another of the many changes in "the truth"!!The light might be getting brighter and brighter but there "truth " is getting more staler and staler!!
