One more day!

I am a great fan of Tolkien, and CS Lewis' mythical fiction. I look forward to seeing the movie. The writers both use ancient mythology, conflict of good versus evil in Euro/Mediterranian ancient cultures and history in their work, but I would give Tolkien the edge on depth.

but I would give Tolkien the edge on depth.

As would I, although Lewis's books are more geared towards children while Tolkien's are more mature.

Yes I think that is true. Tolkien created a completely new world. Where Lewis kept to the familiar to keep his works in the Christian/human context. Father Christimas running around Narnia is one example. The movie was good nonetheless...

Going to Church?

But, wait, C.S. Lewis was careful to respect all Churches and perhaps that is why he is adored by so many - across all denominations?

Now what Church would you be avoiding? Perhaps the Bro's in your former Church would like to receive you and make peace. (You know do that lovin' thing and be lovin' on you. Heal the wounds and let God's good forgiveness be a blessin' on all the children.)

Tis' the season for these kind(ness) and things of this like. Tis' true is it not?

I get the idea that there was real love back there in your past.

Perhaps they were lovin' on you, but rejecting your behavior? Many misunderstand, but in the end, there can be brotherhood and love.

"A man who admits no wrong, can reach no forgiveness." - C.S. Lewis

Maybe the Bro's wish they could apologize? Maybe they wanted your sanity - more than you did for yourself? Maybe they suggested Decafe?

"As iron sharpens Iron, so that a Man will sharpen another man" - King Solomon (paraphrased from memory)

My best friends rebuke me like Professional fighters in the ring of Life! I can feel the love, or the frustration they have. Who else could or would put up with my nonsense? Or, my ugly mug shot? (Please note that my digital image was enhanced to lessen the coffee stains on my teeth. Now, I can't Floss anymore!) :teeth:
